Welcome and thank you for stopping by. I'd like to introduce myself and give a little insight as to why I created this store.
My name is Karen and I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I married a wonderful man, Scott, in 2005. We enjoyed a couple of fantastic years together and in late 2006 we decided to try to start a family.
As if it was just that easy.
I don't know about you, but when I was in high school everyone talked about getting pregnant like it could happen at any moment. Parents and teachers warned us to "use protection" or else. We tried for a few months but didn't have any luck. The small doubts started to creep in, "What if something is wrong with me? or with him?". Try as I might I just couldn't turn off that nagging voice. So I decided to do research and figure out what, if anything, we were doing wrong. Well, it turns out that it's not actually that easy to get pregnant. The egg is only available to be fertilized about 24 hours per MONTH. As if that wasn't enough, each woman is different so it's not as easy as just adding 14 days.
That's when I read about ovulation strips. They are used to track the hormones in our bodies and when a certain one, LH, surges then the window is coming up and it's time to get jiggy.
I spent a couple of month charting my surges and figuring out the window and in March of 2007 it WORKED!
9 months and 10 days later (she just didn't want to leave) we had our beautiful daughter. Those are actually her feet on the main page.
I decided during my pregnancy to do something to help other women that have the same doubts and anxiety and that's how my little business was born, pardon the pun.
It's grown faster than I expected but the feedback and comments that I've received from my customers, many of whom are now mothers, makes every moment worth it.
